Danny Rishoff got his start in the hair industry working the front desk at the famous Neil George salon. He got hooked on hair, enrolled at Vidal Sassoon, and the rest is history! Mentored by some of the biggest names in the hair industry, today he’s behind the chair at Meche Salon in Beverly Hills. When he’s not working, Danny (like Boss Kiara Bailey) can be found at the korean spa, getting soaked, scrubbed, and massaged.
Q: What advice do you have for someone starting out in the hair industry?
A: This is a service industry, so come to work with a good attitude! Nobody wants to hear about how tired you are. Energy is contagious!
Q: What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
A: I was in the 4-H club as a kid and raised pigs and goats.
Q: What’s the best advice you ever received?
A: The best advice I ever received early on in my career is from my mentor Tracey Cunningham, and that is to “Never say no”!! Now that I’ve been in the business for over a decade I have learned you can’t possibly say YES to every job offer, but I still try to honor and give serious consideration to every opportunity that comes my way because you never know where a newly forged relationship will take you.
